Festival jammed packed with live entertainment, featuring Cajun, Country & Swamp Pop music. Swamp pop is a mix of Cajun, Creole, R&B, rockabilly, hillbilly, and Rock-and-Roll styles, over 100 old cars, tons of vendors, fun and food.

2011 World Championships of Surf Kayaking
September 28 - October 9

Hosted by REAL Watersports and Watermen’s Retreat. The World Championships of Surf Kayaking, governed by the World Surf Kayaking Association, is an event occurring on odd numbered years that brings together the top surf kayaking competitors from around the world. Individual and team champions are crowned, and the event features competitors from over 20 countries including Japan, Wales, England, Ireland, Australia, and many more. Teams line the beach, waving flags and cheering their competitors on, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
